The MANJ Drama program, Thespians at Montessori, offers a comprehensive and high quality Arts experience under the direction of Ms. Michele Tuma. Children learn about and participate in theatre, improvisation, pantomime, movement, and playwriting. Montessori Academy will offer Youth Golf Lessons as a supplemental after school program to students 7-15 years of age (students 6 years of age with prior golfing experience will be considered) again in Spring 2015. Committed to introducing young players to the game of golf, the talented and professional golf instructors introduce students to the basic fundamentals of the golf swing, short game, course management, strategy, rules and golf etiquette. Students will gain self-confidence and respect for the game. As a courtesy, Golden Pheasant Golf Club will loan clubs and balls to new students who do not have their own equipment.
Typically, 2 sessions of golf lessons are offered, one in the fall and one in the spring, each meeting twice a week. Guidelines, Enrollment Forms and Schedules can be found on the Downloads page of the Parents section.
In partnership with the Cherry Hill Academy of Piano & Guitar individual piano lessons are offered as an enrichment activity for students 5 years or older (younger students will be considered). Christopher Peary, Head Guitar Teacher for the Cherry Hill Academy of Piano & Guitar offers students at diverse and creative approach to guitar lessons. His extensive experience as a performer, guitar instructor and recording engineer will benefit each and every one of his students. Kim Stevenson, MANJ Parent, Registered Yoga Teacher, offers lively and engaging Yoga Classes to Primary (5+) students and Elementary (6-11) and Middle School (12-15) students on Tuesday afternoons.
