Since choosing a school is one of the most important decisions you will make for your child, we require that all prospective parents schedule a visit to tour the campus before applying for admission.
Parents schedule a visit to MANJ, which will include viewing a short video about Montessori, a tour of the school and observation of the classes in progress, followed by a meeting with the School Head who will answer your questions and share our philosophy with you.
We invite you to visit our beautiful campus. Please complete one of the options below to schedule a tour or attend an open house. Tours and Open House are designed for adults, children can visit another time (infant in arms can attend). If you need to schedule a day and time not listed in the below options please contact the office at 856-461-2121.
Interested parents are encouraged to submit a completed Application for Admission together with a $100.00 non-refundable application fee. Applications are accepted throughout the year.
Upon receipt of your application, we will contact you to arrange an interview for you and your child with our teachers. The interview is designed to gain information about your family and your child, introduce your child to the classroom, and share more information about our school. The teachers interact with your child and present lessons as a way to get to know your child, assessing some of your child’s interests and learning style.
You will be notified of the admission decision within a week of the interview. A non-refundable deposit of 10% of the annual tuition is due within two weeks of being notified of acceptance in the school. When an appropriate space is not available, the student will be placed in the Wait Pool, to be contacted when space becomes available.
The main criteria are the appropriate age of the child (15 months to 2 1/2 years for the toddler program, 2 years 9 months to 3 years 9 months for the primary program, and 6 to 9 years of age for the elementary program), along with the parents’ interest and support of our philosophy and goals.
The Fall entrance of students new to the school may be staggered over a six week period, up to and possibly including, the middle of October. Students entering during this period are subject to full tuition.
An adjustment period is expected for all new students entering the Toddler or Primary program whether they start in September or mid-year. Experience has shown that young children need short increments of time to establish procedures, ground rules and comfort in new situations, therefore all new Toddler and Primary students attend for one hour for their first five days.
“I know my child is in the best environment to meet his needs. I couldn't ask for a more loving community!”
“This is the way learning is supposed to be."
“Sending our children here was the best decision we’ve made as parents."
